We have a position becoming available for a level 3 childcare practitioner. This will be to cover maternity leave. The applicant will also be required to cover lunches as a lunchtime assistant.
This is a temporary position. Holiday entitlement will be calculated on a pro-rata basis and the successful applicant should be available for work Monday-Friday between the hours of 11.00am-3.40pm, term time only.
The ideal candidate will be able to work in a friendly team to provide safe and quality childcare for 2-5 year old children for the Kiddy Winks Pre School. To ensure the service is delivered within an equal opportunities framework and statutory and legal requirements. Applicants must have a minimum of NVQ Level 3 in Childcare or equivalent, experience working with preschool children, maintaining development files in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage is essential and a willingness to undertake the necessary mandatory training as required. Applicants need to be reliable, have good timekeeping, eager to learn, work flexibly and as part of a team and be able to communicate courteously, sensitively and clearly and would like to pursue a career working with children.
